Hi! My name is Alex; I’m the founder and creator of the Rooted & Resilient Training Program for non-profit organizations and government agencies.
As someone who spent years working in the nonprofit sector, I know a lot about the passion that goes into service-based work, and unfortunately, the stress, exhaustion and burnout that often comes with it. Just 2 years into my 5-year career as nonprofit warrior, I discovered how certain yoga techniques can facilitate stress management, reduce anxiety, improve resiliency, and limit the effects of burnout. By the start of 2017, I’d finished my first Yoga Teaching Certification. In 2018 I started focusing my education, training and teaching on improving mental and emotional wellbeing, specifically for highly stressed and burnt out professionals. Now, I find purpose in providing support for the dedicated workers who commit themselves to mission-based work and service to a greater cause.
Meet Our Founder & Head Facilitator
I got my foot in the door with this work, via the weekly yoga classes I offered to the dedicated employees at the Department of Human and Veteran Services in Lee County.
I am forever grateful for the impact these people had on me and my growing passion for working directly with the heart and soul of mission-based organizations and agencies — their employees.
